Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance use disorders. At Juniper Grove Recovery, medication-assisted treatment medications may include:

• Suboxone
• Subutex
• Vivitrol

These non-addictive, proven medications reduce the urge for substances that your body is trying to withdraw from. They also help prevent relapse and stabilize brain chemistry during early recovery so that you're more mentally and emotionally available to participate in the therapeutic process.

MAT is especially effective for those struggling with opioid addiction, but in some cases, it can also support recovery from alcohol use disorder.

At Juniper Grove Recovery, MAT isn’t a standalone service—it’s part of our larger, integrated approach to treatment. All of our clients also participate in therapy. Keeping individual needs in mind, a comprehensive treatment approach will include variations of:
